I thought the heat that is trapped in keeps the exhaust hotter, which inturn increases velocity of the exiting exhaust...



Keep in mind more trapped heat = more stress on the turbos bearings..

not hotter..

coatings will help maintain the temps upon exit..

to avoid the cooling effect of heat transfer from the exhaust piping..

which.. minimizes loss of flow rate from the drop in temp..
