Is it because when your clutch explodes the firewall is normally inline with the shrapnel?

the only negative would be more weight slightly farther forward, right?

yeah, but if you can feel 20lbs moving 12" forward, you should be in f1

I really need to read the rule book. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Same goes for the NOS solenoids. They cannot be mounted on firewall. Big no no.

I am still trying to get past the fact that you cut your front frame. I am not flaming it just seems like such a major breach of the cars chasis integrity.

thats the same thing i said when i looked at it..."did he really cut his frame" that doesnt seem like a good idea at all i think your chassis is gonna flex alot more now.

Now where did I cut the frame? The only thing that is cut in my car is the radiator support. The frame was not touched. I am not in the favor of cutting the frame either. If i have to for some reason, I will weld in a bar in its place. (Have lots of rollbar tubing, tubing bender and a TIG https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR )

BTW Jim,

What wheels are those on your car?

frame...rad support same diff..haha. but seriously wouldnt that make it flex more? wouldnt the top of where the rad support used to be flex in and out under hard cornering? i mean its sort of the same concept as to why people use strut bars to tie together the strut towers with a strut tower bar...correct me if im wrong, just a thought.

Actually there is a big bar that is there from the factory for the same purpose. The radiator support is actually not that stiff. But I am sure i lost a bit of support but then i addded (also welded in) a bracket under the car to hold the radiator in. It is actually stiffer than what i cut out.
