The GT42 can do that @ 25-26 psi. Hasn't been on the dyno above that yet.
Ok, that's cool. Is there like a common psi that most single turbo's use to accomplish their maximum capability? Or does the psi vary from turbo to turbo?

We may never know.. Somethings breaks before Vosko ever gets to measure it..
Yea, lol

i'd say 30psi a T78 is probably at 600rwhp.... lots of different factors will affect this though

Varies. If you really want to get into it, look up how to read a compressor chart. Turbonetics has a lot of compressor charts on their site from small to big.

They haven't mentioned anything about a tec 3 at PFS! Would I be better off getting the GT35/40 rather than the GT42?

ask them about the TEC III ray wilson one of their mechanics is using a TEC III and their shop is next to electromotive.

the GT35/40 is very nice.... for a street car/drag car. if you want a full drag car go for the GT42 its BIG and flows lots of air. it is expensive though!

Yeah electromotive is a stones throw away from PFS, and Russ form electromotive is a real cool guy. Ray has had alot of success with the TEC 3.

I say if money is no object get a ball bearing turbo like the gt 35/40 or GT42, otherwise stick with something like a t66 or t70. They are way cheaper to rebuild when the time comes, and are cheaper in the first place

The only two cars that run the GT42 right now are not full drag cars. They haven't even been on a dragstrip! I think one will be in the series all summer, driving to the track, swapping on the meats and running. The other will be in SOLO I (on track), driving to the track and back, running on street tires.

Not everyday drivers, but only because if you have another good car, drive it, and save the fun car for fun! Don't risk it in rush hour traffic if you don't have to!
