Here are some almost finished pics. The cars vaccume hose system is going to be in stainless, but i just put it together with silicon because i want to drive it...

I tried to take a vid of it running but ran out of memory. The camera really does it no justice...

if you look closely in the first pic you can tell that it is running ;0

FikseRxSeven 08-29-2005 06:01 PM

never realized that the water pump housing was so big til saw your none water stock water pump setup

89 Rag 08-29-2005 06:31 PM

OMG! WOW i'm speechless! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

ccarlisi 08-29-2005 07:52 PM

Really nice! Have any pics of the waterpump?

rfreeman27 08-29-2005 09:01 PM

This is the best I could do without the car on the lift.

From the bottom

rfreeman27 08-29-2005 09:04 PM

it was leaking coolant very slowly from the holes where the long bolts are threaded. The pump mounts to the flange from the other side. that is why there are some random bolts in there...

in the engine bay

I dug out my video camera. Ill take some vids of street tunning to 20lbs tomorrow incar https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I like how i have this nice waterpump setup, and then the little hose to the right with the bolt blocking it...lol

rfreeman27 08-29-2005 09:12 PM

I still have to wrap the harness up, make the vaccume system out of SS and clean up a little bit of wiring that was thrown in to make it run.

This winter I might do a major rewire and put the fuseboxes up with the computer.

I am proud to report that there are zero leaks of any type. I had a problem with my turbo oil feed line exploding. Lesson learned, always keep the fitting and hose brand consistant, earls fittings and aeroquip hose are not happy together, especally with 120psi of 50 weight running through it at idle...

rfreeman27 08-29-2005 09:47 PM

also this winter should bring a sheetmetal intake manifold https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

I am undecided as to what i want to do with paint.

I am thinking ghost flames in the clearcoat on the front of the car, as subtle as possible.

I want to do something different with it, but not catchy or tacky

Braco66 08-30-2005 06:20 AM

Looks great!

DUB 09-06-2005 12:01 PM

Looks awesome, great work!! you're killing me with the wiring, haha!!

dayem get a shield/blanket on that bottom turbine housing!! looks like the top turbo could get some REAL hot air.

rfreeman27 09-06-2005 08:59 PM

Yeah that K&n has a reeeeeally short life expectancy.

Since that pic I have cleaned up a good bit of wiring, added a spark rail, and done the wastegate lines in SS

The Motor flange is a KGParts peice, With -16 weld on bosses welded on.

the car runs a little hot, but i only had one fan working, and it was the 4blader.

I just got the other fan and will have results on cooling today.

rfreeman27 09-23-2005 06:37 AM

Fd3BOOST 09-23-2005 06:22 PM

I'm late to this thread, i have not been on the forum much lately Bobby. Is it all done yet?

rfreeman27 09-23-2005 08:41 PM

yeah, i have been SO busy at work that i havent gotten a chance to turn it up. It's kinda been put on the back burner until i can get my finances back on track, trying to save up for paint.

At 10lbs it hauls some major ass. I cant wait for 20

Are you just repainting the red?

rfreeman27 09-25-2005 08:35 PM

I dont know what i'm going to do yet.

If i want to get it painted now, I am just going to redo the whole car in red with the kit the way it is.

I have been eyeing a kit from japanland that i like a lot. If i do that it will be widebody, and i think i'd paint the car black. If i paint it black then i'm going to do everything, engine bay, inside, cage, etc in black

but obviously that will cost a good deal more. I dont know if it is worth the time and money to put into a full paintjob.

rfreeman27 09-29-2005 09:01 PM

I've been driving it a lot lately.

It shakes

it rattles

it is loud

but i love it :0

I might put taller gears in the trans, driving at 4.5k on the highway kinda sucks...

And 4th gear comes and goes so fast, i dont feel like im going even though im doing upwords of 140mph...

NaughtyFD 09-30-2005 11:39 AM

Looks like a lot of fun. Also looks like it could use a cold air box to get some nice outside air to those huffers.
