The intake runners are very different between the S5 and S6 housings. The 3rd gen intake ports come in from higher up than the 2nd gen runners do. The 3rd gen runners point downward into the engine while the 2nd gen runners point straight in from the side. The rotor housings are pretty hard to tell apart.

 

arent S5 TII rotors and FD rotors the same? not much changed in the rotor housings either, maybe the exhaust port if that. i know S4 and S5 rotors are made differently so you can tell them apart by looking at them. TII vs NA....i dunno.

i think fd rotors are lighter.

They're not.

The S5 TII rotors and FD rotors are completely interchangable.

There are lots of websites. Unfortunately, you're too wrapped up in finding a website to realize that what people have been telling you here is more informative than what you'll find on some random site.



People are helping you. Pay attention.

 

The FD rotors are machined differently. If you look closely at the finish on the rotor faces you can see a 'grooved' type finish, from the machineing. THe 2nd gen turbo rotors are smoother.

 

Also, turbo II rotorhousings have a freeze plug parallel to where the port would be on the iron (when bolted together) on the exhaust side, of course.
