Hey Guys,

All u kno i have an 88 Vert. The other day i installed my new Dual Head Unit, and cant figure out how to get the Surround Speakers working. I have everything hooked up and the front speakers work great, but i would like to get the door speakers and the Headrest Speakers to work also... Any help or wiring diagrams will be great... Thanx in advance

 

they each have thier own amps which are no longer working right due to the aftermarket radio, everyone usually runs new wires to bypass the factory amps

 

yeah.. what rob said.. the amp for my front speakers was under the dash on the passenger's side.. and the headrest amp is in the compartment behind the seats... go to iluvmyrx7.com for the Factory service manuls.. so you can get wiring diagrams.. not that they will help much since there were variations.. and you will be installing seperate amps.

 

oh.. i still have to work some more on mine.. i wanna try amplifying the headrest speakers.. but keep the lil volume comtrol in the center console.. but if not i will run 2 channels just to those lil speakers so i can keep the gain down to a comfortable level just for sound fill.. and let the bigger speakers do the work..

 

to hell with those useless headrest speakers
