a rollerized TH350 took over 850 hp from demetrious's drag car

remember its not the horsepower that kills the tranny its the torque.... you can probably get away with more power on a rotary attached to an auto because of this... and take advantage of the weight differences between the 400 and 350... plus the 350 shifts faster

would want a C4 tranny

its small and has a removable bellhousing

so you just need a adapter plate and you can use your stock bellhousing

and I know you guys are going to say they can't take the Power

but thats not true anymore

you will have to have a custom made torque converter made

using a GM or Ford tranny in our cars especially the 13B

to make up for the lack of torque they produce

This one can handle 1000 horsepower

The TH700-R4's First gear is around 3:1. Second is around 1.7:1, Third is 1:1, Fourth is about .7:1.

That's awfully wide. It's a lot wider than the transmissions Mazda used on rotaries, which incidentally are almost exactly the same ratios as the TH350/400.

I placed a rear side housing up to a Chevy V8 pattern transmission, and I didn't see where even one bolt was anywhere near close, no matter how far I rotated it back and forth.

When you say you used a Chevy S-10 bellhousing, I wonder if you got a transmission from a 2.8 liter V6, which has a different (smaller) bolt pattern. I'll dig up a trans with that bolt pattern and see if that does the trick.

The V-6 bell housing is correct.

Agreed, I dont know a torque figure so that's why i didnt state it. His car is also 2100lbs so there is a lot less weight to move...
