Why the hate for people with the 8? I certainly am NOT a snob. I have utmost respect for all rotaries... I'd wave at 7's.. (when I see them).. c'mon not all 8 owners are bad. Heck, I had a blast in the rain drenched Rotary Revolution w/ all the FC's and FD's..

So, if you're in the chicago area and have a FC or FD.. if you see my red 8.. HOLLA BACK playa...

i def agree most RX8 drivers dont know what they have.... being in an RX8 .. today i went to get soem grocery and i see an 8. I drove over to it to say hi to the owner he looked at me like.. "Ok so you have the same car"

Im hoping as others have mentioned that as time passes the 8 turns into an enthusiasts car and not just some rich yuppie ride for the people who have money for a "TOY"

I happily wave to each and every 7 I see, and usually they're happy to wave back. However, this guy that lives across the street from he has a vert FC and he hasn't said a word to me (my 8 is in the driveway all the time), I don't think he has a clue what he has. I do think that many 8 owners are guilty of not knowing what the hell they're driving, and that's sad, but hopefully the car will end up in the hands of rotorheads ultimately. Personally, I'm just glad that we're on the same side as the 7s, i know my place in the word (behind an FD)...

Similar to the Corvette wave. (50 year tradition) Some C5 dudes are simply rich guys who have no idea what they're driving

not all RX8 owners are created equal... although i will have to agree.. most of them are old enough to be my grandfather.. and i ain't that young

but, there are a few good ones -- such as myself of course

I had a guy in an RX8 wave at my when they first came out. Even gave me a nice rev. It was nice to see one of the first 8's in Savannah going to someone who knew what it was.

How many of you FD owners would recognize a Rx-4 and then wave back? The only one in my area is a punk that wuoldn't even recognize an FC. I talked to him at the fill station, he didn't even know what liter of engine he has. All he knows is that it is twin turbo.

RE4 how often would you see an RX-4 on the road? I consider seeing a FB a rare sight.

I actually spotted the super rare Brilliant Black with the Red and Black interior FD today at our local wal-mart. He is a member here. Section8 I believe. Super nice guy, and a really clean FD. Props to that car. I was just amazed that I saw the Black on Red interior.

I have also seen a GSL-SE on the road from time to time, and it is completely torn up too. I am gonna follow the guy next time and offer him 1,000 bucks for it. When you think, yeah torn up, not cleaned or been washed. I am talking torn up, interior is falling apart. He even had a gas can in the hatch. Jackass is gonna blow a GSL-SE.

There are TONS of RX-8's in my area. Rikki's for one. There is a black one, silver, couple red's. I don't really wave to them, since I don't enjoy getting into accidents.
