Well, yesterday, I took my wife to the Mazda dealership to show her an Rx-8. The sales guy was all about how much better it was then their last rotary vehicle and all, so I pointed out the fact that the fd had more power and was lighter than this new one. Now to the point. He said that by next year, Mazda will have a turbocharged model available. No clue if it's true or not, I was wondering if anybody else had some more info

Oh and NOS will be factory too. As well as those real cool vinal graphics. BAHAHAHAHAHA

The RX8 will not be coming out with a turbo. But there will be a new RX7 coming out in the future and that will be offered with a turbo. But the RX8 will be the 4 door family sports car.

There is no real information about this out there. Rumours abound that a SC is coming, that a Turbo is coming, that larger rotors are coming, etc.

In other words, just gotta wait to find out. Same as the RX7. There is not one bit of real info about wether it's coming out or not, and what kind of trim if it does.

Do the math. Mazda sold **** all cars(rx-8) 15,000 or so. They need to sell double that just to meet there sales mark. They can only make 30,000 rotary engines a year in Japan. Unless they get a bigger engine plant to make more motors aint going to happened!

its been a known fact that marketing and brain dont go together.

now for the turbo rx8 or the rx7 to come out there need a efw things to happen

liek rikki said if you look at the world sales of teh rx8 you can estimate that in US they sold about 15k and mazda/ford said before that the rx7 thing wont happen if they dont sell 30k of these rx8 in the states.

i didnt know they can only make 30k rotaries in japan, the situation is doomed i guess unless they realyl do build more plants to build these things.
