Rx-8 Speed Limiter?

hey, i was wondering if theres a speed limiter in teh rx-8, that stops it form accelerating, or cuts the fuel line at a certain speed? if so, do you know what that speed is?

Poeple said it was ECU limited to 143MPH I think, but I had mine on a dyno at 172 and I have had mine on the road at 151. So really, it's drag limited only.

148 is the top. Period. It just goes to 148, then hits a limiter and drops it to, oh, say 145. If you've ever topped out a truck or SUV, you know how that works.

Well, then ignoring the obvious, I would say my car must be special since I have had it higher than that on the track.

BS ,i had mines up to 153 and nothing happen i was running into some traffic ahead so i had to slow down .
