What have you guys heard. What I have heard so far.



There will be a Mazdaspeed RX-8 coming out next year RUMOR has it it will have some sort of forced induction.



I have also heard Mazda is not having very good luck boosting these engines the side seals do not like the boost at all and are blowing worse than an apex seal at 40 PSI.





Again these are RUMORS. Anyone have any info to dispell these rumors???

 

well the dealers got the service books the other day, and apparently the high power engines get a seperate t body that bypasses the afm.

there are also apparently 6 injectors on the high power model, i say apparently becuase the microfiche only shows 4.



the tranny is like the 6 speed miata, but it has triple cone synchros 1-4

Very true you are. Their will be a MS Rx-8 coming out and it will be forced induction. I just talked to a dealer who said it should hit the market 8 months after the rx-8. Sounds to close to me but that is what he said. Also I wouldn't be surprised if they did keep it N/A. But their was more talking of supercharging it....

 

superchargers suck... turbos are where its at...

 

i have heard that the new renisis motors cant support a turbo because of the location of where the ports are. i am not sure about that but if they made that into a turbo that would be sweet.

 

I have heard that as well, but who knows, wonder if they could supercharge.

The mazdaspeed rx-8 is on the drawing board and it will endoubtebly have more hp, how they will get we'll have to wait and see.

 

I read the same thing about the exhaust setup. According to Sport Compact the MS RX-8 will have suspension, brake, exhaust and body changes, but no changes to the Renesis.

 

Another rumor that I heard was that the production models have a lot better low- mid range torque than the pre-production models. They corrected the thing-a-ma-jig and the doo hickeys.
