I asked this a while back on the evil forum, would the rx8 tranny work in a FD? The tranny will probaly be over 3k.

Why did they use a weaker tranny?? That's a little disapointing.

It costs about the same as the FD engine from Mazda hehe

Mazda is selling 2 different engines for the RX8, Im looking into the difference between them.

One is $5000.95 shipped and other is $5300.95 shipped the parts book doesnt say anything so I had to ask Mazda direct and they are going to get back with me.

I think that there is a 210 hp version thats mated to the automatics and 250 thats attached to the 6 speed. I think they only real difference is an alteration int the intake manifold. The 250 version has a couple of flow passages that open at high rpm that are absent from the lesser model. Correct me if I'm wrong. Seems like that would be more than a $300 difference though, doesn't it?
