What the hell. I was doing some sprinted driving with a fellow rotorhead when my cel started to flash. Now it stays on.

I have done the procedures to clear the NVRAM and KAM but no luck. The cel stay.

I guess this will be my first trip the dealership.

I have not lost any power that I can tell. Any common problems?

C

if it was flashing it means missfire, but also if you bounce the car off of the rev limiter it will missfire and trip a cel now and then. as far as clearing cam i would not do that, just take it in and let them get the code out of it as i have seen the mop fail on a few of these now.

go over to autozone. they'll let you borrow the code scanner.

don't clear the code though. obd2 cars will clear it themselves after a few consecutive drive cycles with the problem being fixed.

flashing cel is BAD!!!!!! it flashes when the catalytic converter is in danger.

I think I kinda cleared the codes.

Well it was flashing when I came up and I was, you know doing some sprinted driving on the 110 going toward pasadena. Then is just stayed lit. I was going around a turn really fast don't know if I was boucing of the limiter cuase I just can't hear it. I just put gas in the car 30 minutes before so maybe it was cause I left the gas cap loose.

I heard about Autozone but I also heard they are not doing it anymore on a different thread. I was thinking of getting the scanner from Hymee. I just hate dealerships.

I have been noticing very bad gas milage, I think. So maybe the cat huh. Will see. I really haven't been driving. I going to drive and see if it goes aways after a few cycles. If not, then you know where is going to go.

Well is been a month since I unplugged the battery and the CEL has not come back.

Maybe the CEL is program in to make you go to the dealer. The car had just under 16000 miles
