£28k sounded expensive so I had a look on the website and it's not even 23k for the 230bhp one - for Ireland on the other hand that sounds like a great price! the cheapest 230bhp varient is €43k or $56k 
and that's before the dealers get their cut.

42,995E for a 231ps sport, is $33,346...
sticker in the us is 27,030 with a $3000 rebate....
