Up until Saturday, I hadn't seen an RX-8 since the NY Auto Expo 2 years ago when the concept was first there.



I didn't really like the look at first, but I think it's growing on me. I can't wait until I start seeing more of them. I was down in Des Moines with my car-loving lady friend, so I decided to take her to the Mazda dealer to see if they had one on the lot. To my surprise, they had 11!! I love the interior...and want some of the seats. As for the exterior, I really don't like the red or the yellow, but the dark gray certainly is nice. Oh, and I'll take a set of the wheels too.





The dealer also had a dark blue MS Protege and a black STi. We saw another STi (she hadn't previously seen one, although I had) later that day. I guess it was a really good car sighting day.



So, am I the last person to see one on the street?

Actually, the dealership had the Blue Pearl STi. The black STi we saw later in the afternoon...



Tsk, tsk. How am I to trust you when I catch you red-handed, spreading our experiences around the 'net?



As for the question - yes, I do believe you are the last to witness the beauty of an RX-8 on the road.

 

well i still havent seen one so i guess hes just second to last.

 

Dammit, I was thinking the STi at the dealership was blue, but I wasn't sure. Oh well...I can blame it on being tired.

 

i saw a red rx8 today on my way to work with the rotor accent package and the body kit.

it was beautiful

 

the black is my favorite. silver in close second.

 

Yeah, I like the black too...just not the red or yellow.
