Well if you get an 8 just turbo it and forget the FD. I have not missed a beat since turbocharging .

maybe one day I will give you a ride!

theres a story in the new import tuner about the rx8s response to mods. they did an intake, rb exhaust, and something else i cant remember, spent 1400 bucks or so and got about 11 hp. the car is like the s2k, very difficult to squeeze and more hp out of unless you go forced. the worst part is that the car stock dynoed 186hp, 134 ft lbs!

That dyno thing will never die....people, just accept the fact that it only puts out 220 flywheel hp!! It's pretty damn fast for a 220hp car...there feel better now?

i understand that, my biggest point was that you dont get nearly the power response to bolt ons as you do with the other NAs

Also...people keep saying "if you are gonna spend $30K on a car just get an FD and spend the extra you saved on mods"

Well...I don't know many people with $30K cash. and I know I don't, so the easy, no money down, x amount of dollars a month works out good.

Can't really finance an FD nowadays, being 10 years old for the newest ones....

Plus like Ryan says, get an RX8 and get a Greddy turbo...plenty fast there with room to get even faster.....

I read that article while standing in line at Wal-Mart. Basically, its a bunch of crap. They list an "exhaust" mod - they just got a muffler! Then whined because they only got 1.6hp or something out of it.

I have thought about doing that, but it seems like a huge hassle. You are not running into any ECU blips? Got a piggyback? And when is the dyno getting put in?

I have leaned more towards an FD right now to be honest. They can be had for cheaper, but I have not tried the anything with the insurance quotes yet. I am sure RX-8 would be a little more, but it would be a safer car than the FD.

We shall see when you see the Topic Title "Yeah Bitches".

[quote name='rowtareh' date='May 19 2005, 11:43 PM']Either that, or get a Jeep Liberty Sport at Chrysler as a promo car for 142 bucks a month. Once it hits 4,999 miles, I get a new one(or whatever we have the most of on the lot).

I know most base pay for salesmen around here is about $200 a week, and thats with taking the crappiest shifts they have, they arent giving the new guy the busy shifts, so if your not selling any cars you will be eating ramon noodles and may not be able to afford $600 a month car and insurance payment.

Its also your responsibility to sell your demo first, its not like they just take it and throw you a new one. I would wait at least one year to see if you make it in the business, usually the only ones making any money selling cars are the real hustlers and the old timers.

Yep...the new younger salesmen at my dealership could make decent money $50k-70k a year, but they also usually work like 60 hours a week.....crazy...

I work 45 hours a week shootin the **** in parts and make that.....
