Buying An Rx-8
#12
We have as stated
"Every new passenger car is covered by a '3 year/Unlimited Kilometres Warranty' with body panels warrantied against perforation (rust through) for up to 6 years (including the 3 year vehicle warranty)."
I've looked at getting one. The price tag is.
RX-8 RX-8 with Leather Pack
Recommended Retail Price (RRP)
RRP manual $56,170 $62,610
RRP automatic $57,000 $63,280

Bought my RX-8 GT 6-spd September 10th and haven't had to make a trip to the service dept. yet, but only a little over 3,000 miles to date.
There are plenty of 2004's on the lots right now, dude. You should be able to save a couple of thousand $ on a 2004 right now, or maybe more when the 2005's come along.
When 2005s do come out, the dealers will want full list price on them, just like Honda has done every year with the S2000s, and Mitsu with the Evo 8's.
I've heard nothing at all about significant improvements or fixes on the 2005 RX-8 models, has anyone else?
My recommendation is buy now.
