Anyone With Rx-8 On Nopistons? Post Here.
#54
Hi guys,
I have been reading this forum for a very long time, but never had a reason to post. I also have kept up with the rx8 forum for some time as well. I just purchased my RX-8 Dec 21 and drove it cross country from Atlanta to Santa Clara. I can vouch that the RX8 made an excellent long distance trip car. I had the trunk full and the backseats carrying all my stuff and not worn out at all.
I bought a base model 6-speed titanium gray. The base model had all the performance options I wanted and none of the stuff I did not need.
Now that my car is sufficiently broken in, I would be interested in a dyno session to see what it lays down stock. I am going to keep this car a lot more basic than my other cars in the past. Chuck, do you have a dyno? I would love to stop by.
My other car which I still own but will be selling is a 97 Eclipse GS (www.murix.com for info and pictures) with a built motor and a TD06-20G. It is a fun car, but I am happy to be back with a rotary and with rwd. I have owned 2 first gens (83 GSL and 84 GSL-SE) in the past so this is not my first step into a rotary. I considered a 94 RX-7 but I chose the RX-8 for various reasons and I am more than happy with my choice.
A picture of my car on the trip here.
