ok so today we finnaly got the first of the 06 rx8s in stock and im in the middle of pdi and fqi on the car. its an auto with a 6 speed auto trans and 212hp 4 port motor. the car also has smart keyless entry wich is cool. now the auto cars are fun to drive finally.

 

also noticed something that mazda should have done right away,,,,,, they put vacum lines from the lower intake manifold to the oil catch can now , maybe this will stop the non compression flooding issues.

 

cool, havent had a chance to drive one yet, but on the street i liked the old 4 speed auto, its less work

 

6-speed auto? i would fear the day that thing breaks!! sounds $$$

 

wow 6 speed auto eh??? thats insane... have fun rebuilding one of those haha

 

I thought they changed it to a 6 port rotor, which is how they got the HP up there.

 

trans new lists for 5120.05.... prolly drop to about half of that when it goes reman in about 6 months.



point of reference, 99 m3 5 speed auto, its $5530 reman



95 mpv reman is 2135...

 

that is correct. it is a 6 port but only goes to 7500 rpm. also, its gears are closer ratio than the manuals
