Selling my 93 RX7 Touring model. I am located in Northwest Arkansas - Fayetteville.

I suppose this car has every option that was available - touring with sunroof, leather, spoiler, CD etc.

The car has 125,550 miles on the chasis. It has about 35k on the mazda installed engine and turbo's and a few thousand on the clutch. The car is in very nice shape.

It was a 1 owner car, owned by an older lady, seriously. I bought it from her last May and have owned it since then. It was bone stock when I got it. No rust, no smoking, and the car has full receipts since it was purchased!

After getting the car, I did the following:

Tires - Kumho V700s - 500 miles on them

Brake Pads Hawk HP+ ~2,000 miles on them (squeal like crazy, still have street pads)

Suspension:

Shocks - Koni Yellow adjustables all around -500 Miles

Front sway bar brace (to stiffen mounts to prevent cracking) - 500 Miles

R1 Front Strut Brace

"Power":

Cat-back exhaust - Didn't really add much power if any, but does sound better than, what I've heard described as, a "turbocharged vaccum cleaner"

Intake - I purchased an "M2" aluminum intake off a member here. This is probably the most significant mod I've done. I do find that the air intake doesn't "heat soak" as much with this intake that allows the car to draw in cool air.

Boost controller - Profec B - I did the "vacuum line replacement" mod. (What a mod, btw!) I found the car still wouldn't hold adequate boost, so I did the "non-sequential" mod. Now the car spools and holds steady boost to redline and pulls like it should. 10psi, MAX.

Gauges: This is something I HAD to do even though I was keeping the car relatively stock. Based on local opinions, water temp and boost gauges are the most important, and so that's what i have. They're VDO I believe. Match the factory gauge color/scheme very nicely. I purchased a dash mount that replaces the center speaker grille and mounted them there. The car was cramped enough, I didn't dare challenge the door pillar.

Headlamps: Silvania Superstars..

The car is probably in as good of shape as you'll find for one with this sort of mileage. The seats are in great condition (minimal wear, no big rips or stains), the carpet is nice, with minimal wear for such a light color - no holes. I had the windows tinted to keep the sun out when the car was being driven, and the car has ALWAYS been garaged since new.

So I purchased the car and sank at least probably $2,000+ in it to bring it up to what I consider an enthusiasts "minimum". I changed the trans & rear-end fluids to redline, changed the oil every 1,500 or so miles, replaced the plug wires, and put many coats of wax on it. I keep my cars nice and I don't abuse them. This car purrs like a champ. I've driven it to Little Rock on a couple of different occassions. I just replaced the spark plugs and changed the oil.

I do have most all spare parts - exhaust, intake, old rat's nest from under the intake manifold, etc. for any buyer of the car.

There are a few things that must be addressed so that I can sleep at night if anyone is interested. I hate surprises as much as anyone:

A/C - Worked when I picked up the car, doesn't now. I think it quit working after I did the vaccum hose mod. I know I didn't lose the freon. Maybe I unplugged a sensor. I never bothered to check, because I never drive the car in the hot summer days. I've honestly figured on removing the dead weight out from under the hood to allow better cooling to the radiator.

Oil drip - Very slow, not sure how slow. THe car usually sits 7 - 14 days at a time. I do know that in my weekend trip to Little Rock, the car didn't drip anything overnight, so it's very slow. I assume it's from the oil pan gasket, as that seems to be overwhelmingly popular with these cars. Hasn't gotten any worse since I got it, so I just leave a piece of cardboard under the car. I had a DSM about 5 years ago (hopefully you get it).

Bose Sound System - Works, but rear subwoofer "rattles" and I think the front speaker is blown as well. I've removed the CD player to install the Profec B and found that the bose sound system ran through there... so effectively there's no sound coming from the speakers now. I would definitely recommend a head unit and new set of speakers, as these are well beyond their useful age.

Tiny chip in the windshield from a rock. I think it was there when I got the car. There are a few door dings on the passenger's side, apparently from multiple garage companions, and a few scratches toward the gas tank door.

The car HAS been repainted, original, as the previous owner described to me. I couldn't tell it had been repainted, it looks very nice. Oddly enough (car was in Montana) a cat scratched the heck out of the paint trying to get up at a dead animal hanging above the car during the winter - again, bizarre yes, but the paint is in nice condition for the age. The car has NEVER been wrecked or even close in my posession, and the previous owner says she never had any fender benders. I can see no sign of any collision.

That's it. The power aentennae works, as does the sunroof, foglamps, headlamps, cruise, horn, etc. It all works fine. If you do not want the boost controller, I can re-install the radio and knock off $200. The transmission shifts beautifully, and all systems seem to be in working order.

I've heard that your "luck" with these cars has all to do with how the previous owner took care of it. I think this car is definitely one of the better platforms to start from. You can't brag about the mileage, but then again, I've never found much fun in exclaiming how many miles i haven't driven. I do have all the receipts and records from the previous owner (including the engine, turbo & clutch work) that are available to the new owner.

My bottom dollar is $12k, non negotiable. If it doesn't sell I'll pull it out after winter and try again. If you want to haggle, I could take some parts off it like the cold air intake, boost controller, etc and knock the price down a few hundred bucks. This is a very nice 7 that has been taken care of, and I think the price is fair.
