If there is a difference between the s4 and s5 s then i need an s4 TII slave cylinder.

 

Why don't you just buy a new one from Mazdatrix? It's only about $50.

 

Brake or clutch master cyclinder? The clutch master cylinder for the FC (same for the zenki and kouki versions) is but $29.95 plus s/h out of Victoria British. I just replaced my cluch master and slave this past Sunday. Both of them are now new and only set me back $50. On the other hand, the brake master cylinder for the zenki T2 is $100 and for the kouki T2 it's $180 from Victoria British.

Oh, it's for the clutch. All I saw was "cylinder" and not the slave part. Duh-oh! I'm stupid. :redface:



A new clutch slave cylinder is for you is $20 from Victoria British. A rebuild kit is $10. Get a new one for a few bucks more and never have to worry about that part again. Or at least for a while. If your master cylinder is going, it might ruin the slave over time if it's putting a lot of gunk in the fluid. That's why I did the both cylinders at the same time. But I guess in your case, your budget is dictating what you can do and can't. $20 versus $50 from Mazdatrix, you make the call.



FWIW, if you are using a stronger than stock pressure plate then this will wear your clutch hydraulics out sooner.

 

Well, if you want 400+ HP then $50 here and there will be a regular occurrance.

 

$50 will be the least of his problems, lol
