where can i get a straght pipe for my 86 rx? they are illegal in new york state but i dont give a ****. where can i get one??? please help me please

I don't think that there are to many people if any that sell something like that.



But what do you meant by straight pipe, do you mean a pipe that will take out all of you cats??? If so I can make you one, that will go from the exhaust manifold (stock) to the cat back. Or if you have a road race header I can make you one.

yea, i had one on my old fc, and when i wrecked it that got ripped off and twisted to hell. how much will it cost to have you make me one? i need it so it can bolt onto the exhaust manifold.

Exhaust manifold-cat back, I am assumeing that is what you want.



And as a price $50+ shipping, if I have to buy new exhaust flanges, and $35+shipping, if I use flanges off of the old exhaust system off of my car. And all this will be the stock exhaust size.

 

all you have to do is take off your cat and break the honeycombs inside and let the pieces fall out. after it has been cleared then bolt it back on and theres your straight pipe but the cops just know its a catalytic converter

 

theres an idea cause you are lyble to get into some trouble running with out cats i could save alot of money if i didn't have ta buy cats

 

yea, i hate cops.although im going to college to become one. but 2 weeks ago i got ticketed for the exhaust on my truck, it was straight piped with a glass pack. loud as hell, so im trying to cook something up for the rx.

If you do go with the cat knock out procedure please wear a dust mask and do it outdoors, The Catalyst in the cat is extremely carcinogic (sp) (causes cancer) and will give you respiatory problems. another option is to knock only the center out and weld a straight pie into the center of the cat. Most muffler shops will not do this for fear of an EPA fine of $10,000 for modifying an emissions control device for other than off highway use.
