need harness & wiring for s5 alternator.



got hands on newly rebuilt s5 alt. and going to install on my 85.

 

will the s4 wiring work... i have that

 

You don't need any harness if you are going to do just the alternator. Just the plug if that. There is a few writeups on this somewhere on this forum and RX7club.com and Teamfc3s.org



To summarize this.



Thick wire goes to battery which is the same as 85, in the 90 alternator one is for acc/starter which is like the 85 and the other one is recommended to get wired straight to the + side of the battery terminal. I have this configuration on my RX-3 and 79 RX-7 with no problems.......

as for the s4, i don't know if there are some minor variances between the two(?).
