Default alternator wiring

I pulled out the engine bay wiring harness. I'm not 100% sure how to rewire the alternator. My thought is to hook terminal R to the ignition switch can it be that easy? do I need any resistance ? does L just go to the guage in the dash?

Default Re: alternator wiring

It's ashame it really seems like the knowledge base on this site is gone.
I hope this will help someone else out. the top pin on the back ( R) connects to switched 12v I connected it to my fuel pump relay as I dont have much wiring left. I took (L ) bottom pin on that connector and connected it to R through a 25 ohm resistor I used 2 10 watt 50 ohm resistors in paralell for 25 ohm 20 watts most likely crazy over kill but thats what I had. It is working well so far.
Good luck guys I'm jumping over to the evil forum
