Note that the oil temp gauge is too low a range for a non-turbo rotary. The oil seldom gets hot enough to even move the needle on my 'SE. Hottest it ever got was about 180.

 

What's the oil temp gauge read at for a non-turbo'd RX-7?

 

Well, usually lower than 100. At least in the conditions I was driving. Arizona city use will be higher no doubt!
