oh yeah, by the way the engine thats in now is n/a 84 gsl-se, im rebuilding an 86 6 port in my garage that im swapping out later and that will be turbo'd. i just wanna set up the engine compartment so it'll be an easy swap.

How far did the engine sit forward for the shifter to sit in the stock location? I start my swap this friday on my AE86 with a 13BTT any advice would be appeciated. Thanks!

i also have a 86 toyota and a 88 6 port with a trans im thinking to swap. i am very concerned with the rear braking as a friend had a 12a in a hatchback and broke the rear twice.

its not far from the radiator, id say 4-5 inches, and i had to put a notch in one of the underbraces b/c the alternator wouldnt let the hood close. if the rearend becomes a problem, (which i hope it wont) i still have my gsl-se rear, ill see what i can do with that. happy rotoring

sorry the pics suck, i took them with my phone so i didnt have good light, but i took the best ones i could. right now for some reason were having some problems with the injectors firing, so, i have my s4 ecu and wiring harness, im going to see if i can play around with that.

Wow looks like that is fitting well for ya. I love the coupe good choice! I'll post pics of my hachi when I get the motor fitted. Good luck to ya!

thats a nice setup GSL-SE. engine..

Did you finish the Wiring?



Here are pics of my conversion .

I still need to figure out what to do with the power steering rack..should i whange it to rack and pinion or stay oem..I will have to relocate the ps pump if i plan on staying oem.



I used the supra rear and a 79 Tranny which fit perfectly in the shiffter hole and mount bolts fit perfectly..that is is you use a tranny mount from a automatic sr5.



Also this car is for sale if anyone is interested

I am located in the Garnerville Ny east cost.

yeah, my power rack is still in my car, im gonna pull it and put a manual in, and yes, still working on wiring:drive:
