Rx8 in a Third-gen Firebird
So I am swapping a rotary into a 1983 firebird and I have came into lots of problems mainly caused because of my budget.
I have 4 port with the automatic from a 2004 rx8 and I'm trying to use the stock ecu and tcm to make it run. I can turn it over but I don't believe it has spark and fuel. I think the immobilizer is causing it not to start because I have read on a forum that these cars have that.
I don't have the money to get an after market ecu and tune it. So I was thinking of making a manifold for a carburator but then I would come into problems with ignition, the omp, and the transmission not being able to to be controlled by an ecu.
I could also get an aftermarket ecu used for cheap but I don't even know where to begin looking for one and looking for someone to tune it.
