i think mazda and suzuki should join together and build a new 750cc renisis super bike.

i think that now with most of the problems fixed, like reliability and fuel economy while maintaining emmisions.

todays efi or maybe even direct injection you could get alot of power and more tourqe.

i'd definetly buy one

I was going to bid on one of those on ebay a couple months ago. It was in Las Vegas, was thinking of driving the REPU to pick it up. In the end I didnt bid on it because I dont really have the space to put it and I already have a bike. The ebay one went for under $500 but needed a pretty good amount of work. If you check ebay regularly you will see that alot of parts for those go through, probably enough that rebuilding one wouldnt be too difficult.

I think a bloke from down here may have bought one of those from him, I was talking about it with him just recently, end up costing him about $10K AUD after getting it here and all. Definitely worth the cash in my opinion...

I'd buy one, but I'm not a huge fan of suzuki's bikes. I'd definately go for this norton one though, has more of the street bike look to it.

its already a perif port. if anything a turbo would be good. but like i said these bikes are rare. the trannys are particularly week, mainly 2nd gear. look at it like this:would you take a 79 rx-7 that was the first one delivered to the us and make it a track car? i think not. the re5 is a part of history, the first mass produced rotory motorcycle. aside for its shortcomings, it is a good "riders" bike. compared to bikes of the same time period, it was advanced. if you look at the 76 "re5a" model it looks much better, different lights and guage cluster..........like all things rotory, its not for everyone......
