Actually, that isn't quite true, there are no official plans in motion for the RX-7 from what I have gathered in my conversations with "sources" I somewhat trust in the Mzda world, once they look at the RX-8 sales, popularity, marketability, etc... They will look again at producing the RX-7, but they seem pretty skiddish since the RX-7 did so poorly it's last year and they seem to feel that it would directly compete with the Miata market.. LOL I dunno maybe a rotary Miata.

Rumors sure are flying. Hey I would love to see the RX7 out again, but im not saying there wont be a RX7, it just wont be an FD thats for sure. I dont think Mazda would back track to tell you the truth, if anything I think they will get an RX9 later.

Mazda didnt come up in the RXs to turn around and go back. Having the SPIRIT R to close out the FD, I think thats the end................

Actually, www.corksport.com has a picture of the new RX-7! Apparently it is supposed to be released in 2005 or 2006. Check the thing out! I like it!

That thing is hideous. I hope that's not the next one in the line for production. I'd like to see a slightly revamped FD. The RX-8 was enough of a dissappointment.

Interest8ing article. I hope that Mazda designers dont screw it up.

Looks as though we should see a real concept car in October.
