hey people.
does anybody have any info on the jc cosmo auto gearbox's, like how much power you can run throught them before they fry etc.
also generally what is the max safe boost that you can run on a 13btt before the turbos start to get wrecked.
thanks alot

G'day from DMRH
The 13B-REW auto box from a Cosmo will not tolerate too much torque. Around 450NM will be its upper limits.
The 20B-REW auto box is slightly better with around 550NM its upper limits before the rot starts to set in.
Having said that, without regular oil changes for good quality oil, you can kill a transmission with a standard engine. I use CASTROL TRANSMAX-Z for the 20B-REW box in my Cosmo.
Max boost for the REW engines FD+JC should be 1.0 - bar & no more. Many Jap shops limit boost to 0.9 - bar as a precaution as they simply fail too quickly over the 1 - bar mark. I run 0.8 bar on my Cosmo.
