I have a 1984 rotary that I installed in a dune buggy. Bolted it up to a three rip bus tranny with a Kennedy adapter plate. I am running a fitech efi on a 4 barrel carb intake and a distributor with a MSD Box for the leading spark plugs. My problem is it will not rev if you open more than quarter throttle, it just falls on it's face and shuts down. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work. Air fuel ratio is good, timing is right, fuel pressure is good, it has good hot spark. Compression is between 80-85 on all lobes. And runs fine at idle and quarter throttle till about 5-6 thousand where it runs out of steam. If anyone has any suggestions if would be greatly appreciated its my first rotary.

 

clean your carburetor in an ultrasonic cleaner and check that the main jets are cleaned and putting out gas that has been my problem for the passed year, I have a rotary buggy as well and finally got it running decent last week after thoroughly cleaning the carburetor and sealing any possible air leaks

 

Sorry for not responding. I figured out the problem it was the exhaust y pipe that I built. It was causing a major restriction and not let it run free. I building a new exhaust on Monday when my bender die comes in.
