Hello

I'm looking to do a 13b motor swap to my b2000 and i would like to know what i am getting in to???

Will the swap be hard or do they make motor mounts that would make it a easier swap or do i choose some thing else????

BE ready to fab up new engine mounts, hole for the clutch cylinder at minimun. on mine, did new engine, trans mount, hole in trany tunnel, moved all fuel lines and fuel tank to the left side (because the exhaust is on the right side now) rewire for EFI, moved battery to the bed cause the airflow meter wants to be there. if you did a carb and dizzy would possibly be easier. i will try to get some pics up soon.

let us know how the project comes along!

The cosmo block should fit fine without cutting of the firewall, but you will need to make a new brace to clear the oil pan as I did with my mounts, as well as make new mounts for the motor. My mounts will not fit the cosmo block, only 13b and 13bt engines from 2nd gen rx7's.

If theres enough interest, I could do an 13b-rew mount as well, but I have no plans of doing the 13b-re cosmo mounts.

But with any of those engines, I doubt the stock turbo(s) will clear the frame on the b series truck. You will need a custom manifold and exhaust.

I like your mount and cross bar set-up, but can't be used on a lowered truck,!

Any higher, and the firewall has to be cut. You either have to make a new oil pan to clear a straight cross bar, or drop the cross bar to clear the pan.

I wonder if the block is strong enough to act as a stressed member?
