i was just broken the news that my 83 is going to fall apart soon. it got passed, but it doesn't have very long. since the engine is in good shape, i was wondering what possibilities i have of swapping it into another car. any light, not rotary powered car will suffice. would also like to know if i could still use the rx trans, or if i would have to get another one. also, how much fabbing would it take to make an FWD car into a RWD car? figured if i could find a civic shell in good shape i'd use that ( in pretty good supply seeing as most guys around me like to soup up civics).

 

If you Swap the 12A into a Honda Use a 84-87 Crx shell. if you wish to keep it carb use the Hf chassis. you have to Make a Trans tunnel and Use the rear-end from the Rx7 or if you want to be ambitious and fab mounts use the FC Independent Suspension.

Why not it would have more reliable power and wont be Wrong wheel drive. Plus its already been done before.

 

i think keep rotary engines in mazdas. hondas are a diffirent thing altogether. hay its youre time and money in the end if you want to put a rotary in a honda then do it

 

How does your car not have much longer to live? What do you mean it is falling apart?




Also, get an 80's corolla, an sr5 84-87 corolla would be sick, and you can stick with it being carb
