RX-8 takes a long time to crank when engine is warm
Hi,
I have read a few threads where if the engine is warm and will not start, then the engine is blown, or about to blow. I don't think my engine is bad. It has 158,000 miles, runs great! And cranks great in the cold, just not when it is hot. My car has been doing this for like 2 years. I am tired of it! I have replaced the starter numerous times with an autozone lifetime replacement starter, and they only seem to last a little while before it does it again. What is the problem? Anyone else had a solution, or a cause? Are their things I can check?
Example, when I pull in for gas. And crank the car back up it will turn over for like 30 seconds total. Finally it cranks, but you never can tell if it will. The car runs great except for this.
Thanks,
