engine is an s5 t2. about 1000miles on it, and it just let go. he says the wastegate stuck open when the engine died. judging by the damages i think whatever went thru the engine is in the wastegate? it looks like the motor ate something to me.

that bad boy dun got hot!!!!!! an apex seal may have broke and caused that . i had a seal break on me in the same location, lucky for me i had no major damage other then the cracked iron.

 

did you look at the pics? apex seals are smashed into the grooves. why do you say it got hot?

 

Is the roof the exhaust port radiused properly. Looks kinda sharp in the pics.

 

yeah, believe it or not, the exhaust ports were polished 1000miles ago
