Hi ppl,

I am getting my engine from Zimax Japan... Have any of you heard of them? Are they good? I am getting a street ported engine for the stock twins... Altough i am a little confused about porting.. Can someone tell me the pros and cons of the motor i will be getting. Also they have put in the 2002 seals in the engine... Were they different?? How much Hp increase would i get...

I have a Bigger Greddy stock mounted intercooler, Apex-i N1 Exhaust, Apex-i Intakes, Apex-i GT Spec radiator, Knightsports dual downpipe and greddy e-01 boost controller. My Power FC also just arrived... will install it after i have run-in the engine...

How much Hp should i expect ??

just got the specs for my engine.. But sadly all in Japanese... It does have the front and rear rotor compression test graph for my engine... the front rotor is somewhere around 7 and the rear is around 9..... It also says compression will increase once my engine is broken-in.....Is this good... I can attach the graph of the rotors compression too if it will help...it also says something like 219 rpms for the front rotor and 222 rpm for the rear... Any idea what this means...

I am also attaching the specs i got in japanese.. can anyone translate? that would be great help... or maybe just tell me the important bits

thanks in advance

says; " we got your money round eye and we know you dont read right to left up to down so we threw in American numbers . Now go put our used motor in with our experimental ports and we will now if they work...HA, ha,ha,ha."

Is it me or do you always feel like people who arent speaking in english are saying something about you.

JUST DICKIN WITH YA

i dont understand why you bought a motor from japan when therre are quite a few good motor builders in the us that would do it for a lot less

the 219, 200 ,250, #'s are the rpms they did the compression check at. follow the instructions to the letter!!! I have delt with japanese many times. Most take pride in the work they do and hate it if its fond that they screwed up. OH just a note they don't use psi.

They should be I don't remember the conversion but if the shop sent you specific instructions it should be alright...Just make sure you follow them exactly. espacally the boost instructions and the oil changing instructions.
