Hi all.

This may be a bit of a soft question but a bit back a good friend of mine managed to make contact whilst racing and rip a hole in his oil cooler and with him not being the sharpest tool in the box drove it half a lap back to this pits.......

So as you can imagen when it was all cool and the cooler was fixed / oil put in it was seized solid (later found out the Stationary gear bearings had welded them self's to the e-shaft which proberly saved the Rotors).

Ok so this engine has been sat around for a bit now but he has asked me to rebuild it for him, i've stripped it and found the plates/Housings and rotors are ok but the Stationary gears are scrap and the rotor bearing are bin food but don't look like they have spun so the rotors may be salvageable. What i would like to know is as this engine had about 2k on it and all the seals and springs where replaced do you think they would go again? or would it just be safer to replace the lot?

I have had a good look at the seals and they seem ok but i'm just paranoid (don't want an engine to fail for some thing stupid) and not sure if i should use anything that makes contact and needs oil.

What is your opinion?

id look it over extremely well, and reuse parts that dont appear to have suffered damage if it was mine. With it being a friends you and him should look it over and see what he wants to do.

I recently tore a s5 engine down that had the stationary gear bearing heat up and fuse itself to the e shaft now the rear was ok. The shaft is trash but everything else was ok if you need pics almost as a comparison let me know I can post some.
