i was thinking probably instead of scrapping oil injection all together and running pre-mix, maybe it would be better to keep the oil injection, but somehow route it to an external tank of 2stroke oil. what do you guys think about this idea?

i know pre0mixing isnt good because when you let of the gas and use the engine to decelerate the car, the engine is running lean on oil lubrication. this is the same common problem when converting a dirtbike from oil injection to premix.

im sure this has been done before. how hard would it be to do?

I know there is a company out there that sells a mechanical oil metering pump with an external resivour. And for the life of me I can't seem to find it on the net. For some reason I remember it being sold by an aviation company but I don't think it is Atkins (not on their website).

I will keep looking and post if I can find it.

Not quite the purpose of an accusump. Accusump is to provide a very brief amount of oil to the motor in the event of an oil pressure loss like when the oil pump sucks air due to high cornering/accel rates with out a sump baffle.
