I cant wait to see how this turns out. Ive got the teflon coolant seals now, and I have really put those seals through hell in the past couple of weeks. Including 3 times when I lost all my coolant. The motor hasnt even missed a beat. I cant wait to see how these do.

Banzai, is there any chance you could test them against the teflon coolant seals? I would love to see how they compare.

We have a set of the M-C Teflons up there now. Current plan is to assemle a keg and do some high temp hydros for starters after the static hydros are done.

If that test goes well I will disassemble the KEG and re-assemble with a iron that has the seal lip broken in it.

Then a set of seals will go in my new engine

Some stronger side seals, and then we're on to the joys of denting rotor faces and cracking irons...

after reading through some different threads on this forum,i really have to ask. john, now that i know your name, you own your own shop ,so why did you have Pineapple racing biuld youa motor, why not do your own,not criticizing, just wondering, you guys are all on here talking crap about Pineapple, butdon't build your own engines,in the contense of information about your water seals, you sound like an intelligent person.againi'm just confused as to why have someone else build you a motor.

Dear No-Name poster:

Why did I not build my own engine in May of 2002. Very Simple. I was working 70 hours a week and needed an engine. Simple. Didn't install it until fall 2003. I used PR because of there reputation and the advertised price (in 2002) was an extremely good value, considering the new housings.

So why am I bitching now: I DID NOT GET WHAT I PAID FOR!

BTW: For future reference: please keep the PR Engine comments in the threads with the pictures of the engines that didn't work as advertised!
