ive got an 84 gsl-se, im looking around at my options for power, i was wonderign if anyone has turbo'd a 6 port NA 13b.

im curious to what all would be needed, all i can think of is t2 manifolds, injectors and fuel management.

any hint, tips, suggestions or anything would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, A T2 inlet manifold will not fit your 6-port engine because al T2's have the 4 port design... But you can make your own custom LIM ... If you want it cheap, ge for a T2 turbo and exhaust manifold, they just bolt on ... then you only need the choose if you'll be using the stock T2 ecu with eventually bigger secondairies or go for an aftermaket ecu...

For intercooler and exhuast stuf you need to improvise a bit... an aftermarket ecu will be more expensive but easier, when you are using the T2 one you need to fit al the sensors, otherwise it will run in limp mode...

The TII lower has the same bolt pattern. With some filling and porting, it is possible to open up the manifold to mate with the two ports on each side plate. I've built an adapter plate which allows port matching and blending to the manifold and engine. There are some pics here.

Will an N/A lower intake manifold work in place of the TII one?

Sure, it could be used, but the turbo and exhaust manifold won't fit without adding a spacer of 2.5" or so. Also, the n/a throttle body inlet is on the passenger's side, which, depending on your intercooler type and location, may be a hassle.

just carb it and then turbo, youd have to do some porting though

fcrotornut 01-08-2005 11:22 AM

haha shane, you know im not going to carb it unless a buy a 12a or something of that sort, im really thinking about picking up a 12aT engine from rotary shack, i do not know how much power they put out, but i think it would be a fun platfrom to work with.

I have a TII intake manifold on my 6 port block. Just takes a little port matching.
