Are these Rotor Housings Trash?
I have these rotor housings that are in great condition - but a strange port job. I was going to go with a Pineapple Racing Medium Exhaust Port and I have the template in the pics for reference...
The ports on the housings are almost identical in shape but open and close about 1/8th of an inch later. You can't see the closing edge in the picture but it extends 1/8" past the Pineapple template.
For what its worth, I am using a Pineapple racing medium street port template for the irons.
Opinions on these ports? Should I look for different housings or run these? How will the motor behave? I am going to use a Turbonetics full t04 ball bearing turbo. I think it is a .86 trim

Opps I got it backwards. It closes later which means more overlap. Ideal for high hp NA, but not perfect for turbo. That being said it will still work, it'll just move your powerband up a bit and reduce some of the efficiency.
Would it be better to go ahead and move the port down to open earlier as well?
Rob at Pineapple said thats what he would do.
This would be one monster exhaust port if I did that - basically the Pineapple medium exhaust port that opens at the same time but closes 1/8" later.
Would a port like that be tooo big?
