You could put together your own for less. The fittings are common(same size banjo you see on bike brakes), as are the premade SS lines. http://www.jegs.com/c/Brakes-Drivetr...10143/10002/-1 Summit Racing sells them too, along with lots of smaller vendors. I believe the thread size on the banjos is M10 x 1.0mm, but Id double check it before ordering.



Its certainly up to the task, thats a very common way of doing SS brake lines on bikes.

overkill. stock lines only get broken when you're working on the car.
