I found and was able to interpret the plug in question from this chart. Turns out the plug is an "06" and is quite cold.

 

Wow, if it is an "06" on that chart you supplied, it's off the chart compared to the NGK stuff!

Yeah, it is. 07 or 08 could possible be a bit more ideal, but I'm running a Jacobs Rotary Pack and it throws a seriously big spark v. the stock coil - by my unscientific observation maybe 4X stronger as per spark demonstration w/ a cold plug. I inspect the plugs about every 2K mi. and clean 'em up. I run rich and I haven't had any fouling on the NGKs. I'll report in the future as to how these Bosches perform *I regret my earlier apparent shortness*

 

Ah, Jacobs. They've built an ignition system specifically for the rotary engine. This demonstration was out in the atmosphere, wasn't it? It was not under pressure with fuel and and air flowing past it was it (there's now real way to see since there is no 'sight glass' to look through). Oh well, I guess Jacobs is money well spent.

 

We demo'ed that ourselves at our Meineke Car Care shop. Ari runs three of those Jacobs amps; they set big-time race records.



Crane Cams prices LX91s right and they as good, probably better than their Japanese counterparts. They're a spot-on match for the Jacobs dishes out all the way to redline; a condition that would beat the **** outta lesser coils. I've heard the unfavorable opinions about them; what am I to do? Believe what I see or believe rumors? I don't have a spark problem - I'm making plenty of power. I do have a problem paying for plugs at $33 ea.
