Hello guys,

This is my 2nd rebuilt (non turbo) and the engine since to be running good (130 miles after rebuilt). I only notice the engine still smoking a littler at idle, when I am driving is hard to see smoke. The second problem is the RPM is not stable AT idle. I did the TB mod and all emissions is gone. The BAC valve still in place.

Normally for how long the rebuilt engines smokes ? Normally the idle is unstable during the break-in period. I been looking for VAC leak but I don't find any...

Thanks for the help guys ...

I replaced apex seals, side seals, cornel seal, all the springs and new rotor and stationary gear bearings. Rotors and housings was in reusable condition. Also the sides plates was resurface. This engine was running good before the rebuild, the only problem was oil leak.

Thanks again for the help...

The idle will surge some until the seals seat in better. it will take a little time. some as little as 5-600 miles some 1000 or more. There is no definite. Alot depends on how worn the housings were.

On the smoking did you replace the oil scrapers and springs?

The oil scrapers is the side seals? If it that, the seals and springs are new. The engine is running good except for smoking a little at idle, If everything is ok under a normal overhauling, please a simple answer on miles or hours, for how long the smoke blue... I like to know if it is normal...

Thanks again guys ..
