the obd2 stuff is neat, so we went and road tested an rx8 for the recall.



the leading timing @wot over 7000 is 30btdc....



decel and idle its -5btdc



cruising it goes really quickly to around 36btdc, around 2500 rpms... although if you move the pedal it retards real quickly

i dunno, we've got another one to drive, so i think we'll graph a run, and then get a printout.



i'm thinking i'll just do a 3rd gear run from 1000-8500 or whatever

TRAILING runs about 10btdc@idle, drops negative on throttle, and then climbs to about 15btdc @wot

I would like to clarify that those are absolute numbers and that you did not mean split instead of btdc.



Otherwise, they'd be running 15 degrees negative split at idle... !

Yeah those graphs would be really interesting to see. Just out of curisosity would the renesis have different timing needs than the older 13b's do the different porting?
