With the RX8 rotor's I understand you have to get the RX8 seals and springs and that you'll need to run the RX8 stationary gears as well.

well i kinda knew that also,, but since he's drastically changing the rotors by lightenning it, im sure he has resources to mill the apex seal seats and clearance side seals as well

If your reffering to titanium seals, its been tried.. didnt work. titanium is not smooth (cant rember the exact word) it caused alot of wear on the housings and wore them out in a matter of min's. the thread is on rx7club somewhere, probably a year or more old

i believe i read somewhere that Mandeville still lightens rotors and balances rotating assemblies.

did a quick research, and rx8 rotors have shorter apex seals, and the side seals are clearanced 4x more than the max clearance for a 13b due to thermal expansion from the side port exhaust.

also the problem w/titanium is that it is not well suited to appliclations of high temperature... seals and rotors definately qualify i think.
