Alright ppl..

Gotta 1990 turbo rx7.

I'll post pics later, but rotor housings, rotors and everything else look good.

engine was full of carbon and its because i took my car to a place that just deals with rx7's awhile ago. told them to put in bigger injectors cuz i got intake and exhaust, seems that he put the 750cc in the primaries and the 550cc as the secondaries,go figure.

Anyways, if i want fd stationary gears and stationary gear bearings also fd rotor bearings, do i need the fd counterweight? anything else i need off the fd?

Thanks

No. The counterweights are matched to the rotors. FD and S5 counterweights are the same anyways, because the rotors are the same weight. You will need the FD thrust bearings/thrust plate though. Its bigger than the FC ones.

alright. I just phoned a rx7 parts supplier

he said if i want to use the fd stationary gears and bearings, fd rotor bearings, fd thrust bearings/thrust plate, im going to need a new fd eshaft and front and rear counterweights.

any logic behind this?

THanks

That's false. The first engine I built I used S5 rotors, e-shaft, FD counterweights and front cover.

You dont need the rear counter weight(flywheel), you s5 T2 will work. I think you do need the front counter weight. I'm in the process of doing this and i think the fd counterweight has a bigger contact area for the bigger fd bearing. I'll verify this later on.
