373 whp @ 12psi today.

had ignition problems, so i had to cut it short, but the potential is definately there. 400 hsould come without too much trouble on 91 california pump gas.

You cant run rx8 stat gears without a rx8 eccentric shaft. The oil journals for the main bearings are in different spots.

Do you mean the journals themselves, or just the oil passages?

If it's just the oil passages, you could always just drill new holes.

i thought the stationaries were ok to use, just not the rotors unless you got the e-shaft.

aren't there a few guys using renesis rotors + e-shaft without the stationaries in the older engien cases?

I havent personally seen it, but I read something about it on the Real World Solutions site www.rotaryaviation.com in reference to one of their rotary planes. Its been a while since I read it, so I dont remember the specifics real well.

well i did some more tuning last night and it looks like the egt's are starting to get out of hand at around 14psi. they're still in check, but i'm having to take a little more timing out than i'd like (starting to do the back half of a bell curve)

so i think i'm gonna cut the boost off there. at least for now. it should be 400+ whp, but i'm gonna keep it at 12 to give a good safety margin at the top. i've got an aquamist that i haven't installed yet, so that'll probably go in later on. but just for now, with this exact setup, i think i've found MY safe ceiling.

rew motor

streetport

9.5 compression (polished and edges radiused)

gt35r

cosmo sized runners

port matched manifold

apexi gt intercooler

3" downpipe and 3" boost-actuated cutout

i'll get it back on the dyno in the next couple weeks to confirm or deny hp numbers, but it feels good, and it's fast.

if anyone's planning on a high compression turbo, hit me up and i'll share with you the things i've found out.

Has anyone done any side by side testing of those " coolant passage modifications?"
