I recently purchased the Racing Beat dual sheave main drive pulley for my Cosmo motor because my pulley right now doesn't have any timing marks on it.

Well now I've run into another issue and that's belt type. The standard belt I have on there now (just one, flat, standard, whatever, cog belt) will not mate with the RB pulley AND the waterpump/alternator pulleys.

So, how can I resolve this? I know RB makes an alternator pulley, which I could conceivably purchase, but what about the water pump?

It looks like the RB pulley uses a V-shaped belt...

Thoughts?

This almost makes me think about getting a different water pump! Sourcing a pulley doesn't sound appealing at all.

Damn project cars...

Or maybe an electric water pump?

I don't know...I'm clueless but if I have to replace the pump, I'd rather have something new...

ok so buy a new fc water pump assembly. it uses the right pullies, and if you use the s4 water pump you can use the fb thermostat cover and the stock upper radiator hose.

Let me post a pic of the pulley just so I can be sure we're clear, not that I'm questioning your knowledge or anything!
