piston engine help!

we tore down the honda engine, and its got some weird damage, it looks like corrosion but cant be?

looks like a head gasket went and the result is a corroded piston

That would be my guess. I recall reading the manual for the 2.0 Chrysler, and it said that pitting on the piston indicated coolant in the combustion chamber. What do the tops of the pistons look like?

more. top ring scored the cylinder wall, and broke

fucky part of the piston and cylinder head, are both in the same spot. you can see where the HG was leaking, however since everything else is screwed up we decided not just put the HG in
